Amuse
A reservation app that actually knows your taste. Discovery is social, not algorithmic-soup; the agent does the booking dance.
Why I built it
Restaurant discovery has been the same ten star ratings for fifteen years. The signal that matters is which of your friends loved a place, and that signal is buried.
Process
- Started by scraping nothing. Built a taste model around explicit friend-of-friend recommendations first.
- Layered an agent over OpenTable / Resy that handles waitlists, holds, and party-of-N coordination.
- Designing for a 4-second decision: 'I'm hungry, who's near me, where, when.'
Screens
Discovery feedFriend-weighted recs, no stars.

Lessons
- Discovery is a social problem. The AI is the closer, not the opener.
- Group-of-friends UX is harder than single-user by an order of magnitude.
